The Bird Ballad suite is my absolute favorite set of products in the new annual catalog. I held a class in June featuring it and these are all but one of the projects we made that day. All are CASED from other people and I am so grateful that they shared their creativity.
The littlest box is a no-adhesive treat holder the perfect size for a Dove chocolate. The other box has an angled lid – so cute, especially with the striped pattern from the Bird Ballad DSP – I love this paper! Take a look at the tag on the box – the pearl was colored with the Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends. That sweet little bird stamp…the sky’s the limit – it can be almost any songbird you like depending on how you color it.
Pro tip:Color the Pearl Jewels with Stampin’ Blends to color coordinate with your project.
This post isn’t about my class projects, though. I saw this adorable bird house box the other day. I’m sure you know how it is – you just HAVE to make that cute project right away! This is my version…
The birdhouse lifts off the base to reveal the gift or treat inside. How clever is that!
I used the Birch background stamp on the birdhouse to give it some texture. The base and roof were embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder. The swirly border was cut with one of the dies from the Delicate Lace dies. The bird was fussy cut from one of the sheets of Bird Ballad DSP.Supplies
