How is it that every year, December hits me like a smack on the head?? One minute we’re celebrating the 4th of July and the next minute we’re heading into Christmas.
I’ll show you some of my Christmas cards throughout the month, but today I want to share a cute gift I made for a friend.
I found this travel coffee mug at Dollar Tree. It’s made to use inserts between the outer and inner layers. I traced the template that came with the mug onto a sheet of Coffee Break DSP, cut it out and popped it inside then filled the mug with candies. Adorable! I love the pop of red from the lid – it really sets off the colors from the DSP.
I made the tag using the Coffee Cups framelits, and the Coffee Cafe and Merry Cafe stamps. I love these new holiday coffee stamps! I used three of them for the phrase on the cup – “A cup of”, “Christmas”, and “Cheer”. And yes – the candies inside the mug are Christmas candies, so it truly is a cup of Christmas cheer.
Isn’t that little mini bow fabulous?? The cup itself is die cut from a sheet of the Coffee Break DSP and adhered to the front of the tag.
Inside the tag, I used a stamp from Merry Little Labels inked with Stampin’ Markers. It fits perfectly on the die cut coffee cup, which I cut from a folded piece of Soft Sky cardstock.Supplies
